The most recent addition to our breakfast offerings has been a real catch.  This entree consists of a poached egg sitting atop a smoked trout cake which is stacked on a savory corn pancake. We will be offering it weekly throughout the season. It is served with a generous dollop of dill and shallot sauce.  We call this Good Medicine Lodge creation, "Good Montana Morning."

Betsy, this dish was delish,and the dill sauce really made it. But the granola both made my morning and my evening -- the baking aroma nearly got me out of bed...I would very much appreciate the granola recipe and the fabulous french toast! We are still feeling the tonic effect of our stay with you and Woody. What a wonderful vacation experience. Many thanks, Kathleen

This recipe is the inspiration for the naming of our cookbook: Good Montana Morning, Recipes from Good Medicine Lodge in Whitefish, Montana. The book will be released by April, 2011.
